As the Grace Point Connecting Team, it is our goal to help fulfill our church family’s mission of making more and better Christ followers by intentionally connecting with our guests, helping them in their spiritual journey by facilitating mutually encouraging relationships.
Our ministry includes more than just greeting and welcoming guests and members. It is our prayer that we would be able to respond to needs and help people find new friends and a place to grow spiritually. The Connecting Team’s desire is best expressed by a verse out of the New Testament book of Colossians: “For my concern is that their hearts may be braced, (comforted, cheered and encouraged) as they are knit together, in love, that they may come to have all the abounding wealth and blessings of assured conviction of understanding, and that they may become progressively more intimately acquainted with and may know more definitely and accurately and thoroughly that mystic secret of God.” (Col. 2:2 Amplified Bible)
We would like our Connecting Teams to be composed of trained and motivated believers who release their faith, prayers and lives to build up others. Our Connecting Ministry is driven by relationships and we desire to reach out, love, minister to and accept new attendees.
We have several teams taking turns on alternate Sundays to meet for prayer, then greet, welcome and connect with people as they come to church. Our goal is to connect with our guests and introduce them to some of our church family members. As a family we care for one another and are concerned about another’s spiritual journey.
We encourage our guests to attend “Discovering my Grace Point Partnership”, the first class of our Discovery Classes. In this class more information is given on who we are and what we do at Grace Point. We also encourage you to attend the special events we plan during the year in order to get to know others and share our lives together.
The Connecting Team also helps organize events throughout the year. These informal fun events aid us in getting to know more of the church family and building good relationships. At Grace Point we feel that “doing” life together is an important part of our spiritual journey.
How Can I Get Involved?
Well, you can get involved in our Connecting Team by emailing email@example.com or speaking with Sharon Bitzer on a Sunday morning.
