Teenage years are precious... and difficult. As teenagers enter the final stages of adolescence, they face new expectations, new challenges, and sometimes new struggles. We believe that it's critical for kids to have a safe place to grow and learn, where trustworthy people can graciously help lead them in good directions.
This year, what we'll be talking about at youth is "God's Calling."

But there's a little more to it than that, because we also want teens to know that God's Calling isn't just for us to gather with God—there's also a calling that God places on each of our lives to serve God by serving one another. It says in 1 Peter 2:21: "For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps."

WHAT DOES GPC YOUTH ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE?
Most events are made up of 4 parts (in no particular order): Teaching, Talking, Fun, and Food:
- Teaching: A leader will share a "God Talk" with the kids, telling a testimony of what God has done, or talking about how we can apply Bible lessons to our lives.
- Talking: A chance to talk in your small group, sharing how you're doing and what you're going through. We consider this to be the most important thing we do.
- Fun: I don't think we ever have a youth event where nothing fun happens. Whether it's a big organized game, a trip to an Oil-Kings game, or even just volleyball in the Gym, youth is always fun!
- Food: There's almost always a snack of some kind at youth, because food brings people together.
