YOUTH

Growing up is challenging, the most challenging times are the teenage years as youth move through adolescence towards adulthood.  We want Grace Point Youth to be a place where kids understand BELOVED:

  • All people are BELOVED by God, not because of who they are but because of who God is.
  • We want to be a community where our youth can BE LOVED, no matter what their circumstances.
  • We want to BE LOVE in our response.  Jesus loves us deeply and died for us, and we want to respond by showing that love to each other, and to others outside the group.

WHAT DO WE DO AT GPC YOUTH?

  • "Deeper" events focused on small group time and digging into God’s word.
  • Fun churchwide games like Clue and Pink Panther
  • Offsite events like Mini Golf or going to a Hockey Game
  • Participation in summer and fall camps organized by the Church of God.

Youth Worship Band

YOUTH WORSHIP BAND

Calling all youth (Grades 6-12)!  Have you played an instrument for a couple of years, have gotten pretty comfortable with chords, and are interested in exploring what playing with a band might be like?  Or do you enjoy singing melody or harmony (or both!) and would like to see what singing with others sounds like?
We have started up a Youth Worship Band where Gaylene (who helps take care of things with our Worship Ministry at GPC) helps the group journey through what a life of worship looks like, and how our youth worship band can be an outlet of our worship to God.
Gaylene also focuses in on individual musical skills within a band context and has invited some music mentor friends to be a part of break-out times of focussed training of your instrument.
If this is something that interests you, or if you have any other questions, email Gaylene at worship@gracepointchurch.ca or click on the link below.
