Grace: The free and unmerited favor of God
At Grace Point Church of God we recognize that we are here by God’s grace alone. As such, we desire to represent Him well both within our church family and the broader community in extending grace to others.
We believe that as followers and imitators of Christ we have a responsibility to care for one another and reach out to those in need. We are called to:
- Bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2)
- Do good to all people (Galatians 6:10)
- Provide for our own (1 Timothy 5:8)
- Visit orphans and widows in their distress (James 1:27)
- Be devoted to one another (Romans 12:10)
- Do to others as you would have them do to you (Luke 6:31)
The Grace Care Network coordinates access to a variety of care supports. We want to make sure people receive the kind of care they need; especially those who don’t have access to an existing support network.
If you have a request for the Grace Care Network, please e-mail email@example.com or call 780.466.8290.
To access care in any of these areas, we may ask you to set up an interview with one of our staff members or volunteers to better understand the nature of your need. Some of the types of support which may be considered include:
Short-term financial assistance and emergency personal financial needs in accordance with our Benevolence Policy as defined by our Board of Elders.
Assistance with temporary practical needs such as transportation, food hampers, yard care, and house maintenance.
Support for those going through a health crisis such as providing meals or hospital/home visits.
Seniors/Shut In Care
Ongoing care for our less able seniors such as practical needs and encouragement visits.
Referral to other organizations and sources of support that might be helpful.
With your permission, our Grace Point prayer team is dedicated to lifting the needs of those around us to God, the One who can change lives and circumstances.
The Grace Care Network is only as available as we have volunteers who step in to meet identified needs. If you are interested and able to provide care to others in any of the areas listed above, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 780.466.8290 for more information.
