YOUTH

Teenage years are precious... and difficult. As teenagers enter the final stages of adolescence, they face new expectations, new challenges, and sometimes new struggles. We believe that it's critical for kids to have a safe place to grow and learn, where trustworthy people can graciously help lead them in good directions. At Grace Point Church Youth, what we want for kids is BELOVED:

Auto Draft

"Beloved"

  • For them to understand that they are BELOVED by God, not because of who they are or how good they are, but because of who God is.
  • For them to be in a small group community where they can BE LOVED, no matter what they're going through, or what they face.
  • For them to BE LOVE in response, learning to live like Jesus did, and showing other people the love that God has shown us.

WHAT DOES GPC YOUTH ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE?

Most events are made up of 4 parts (in no particular order): Teaching, Talking, Fun, and Food:

  • Teaching: A leader will share a "God Talk" with the kids, telling a testimony of what God has done, or talking about how we can apply Bible lessons to our lives.
  • Talking: A chance to talk in your small group, sharing how you're doing and what you're going through. We consider this to be the most important thing we do.
  • Fun: I don't think we ever have a youth event where nothing fun happens. Whether it's a big organized game, a trip to an Oil-Kings game, or even just volleyball in the Gym, youth is always fun!
  • Food: There's almost always a snack of some kind at youth, because food brings people together.
